1. What is SpotGone!?
SpotGone! is derived from mined calcium sulfate. It is mined from one of the purest sources of calcium sulfate in North America, then ground extremely fine. We add one other naturally occurring source of food for beneficial soil life, then SpotGone! is then pelletized to make it easier to use. SpotGone! is guaranteed to contain 21% calcium and 17% sulfur, both of which are essential plant nutrients.
2. How does SpotGone! work?
SpotGone! works by eliminating excess salts in urine and de-icers from the soil. The natural components of SpotGone! increase plant vigor helping it re-grow into the spot.
3. I have urine burn spots that have been there a while, will SpotGone! still work on those spots?
SpotGone! will help flush salts out of the soil regardless of how long it has been there. Depending on the concentration, it may take longer to get the effect you want from SpotGone! Extra watering may be required for these tough spots.
4. Does SpotGone! change the pH of the soil?
No, SpotGone! will not change soil pH. SpotGone! helps remove excess nitrogen and salt from your soil. This is what causes the burn spots.
5. Can’t I just change my pet’s diet to eliminate spots?
While there are products that claim you can alter urine pH and prevent lawn damage, there will always be nitrogen and salts in urine. Buffing and removing the nitrogen and salts is what keeps your grass green.
6. How much SpotGone! do I need?
One bag of SpotGone! effectivly treats about two hundred urine spots or 200 square feet of de-icer burn. 3 bags of SpotGone! should treat all the spots that one dog makes in a year.
7. What else can SpotGone! be used for?
SpotGone! can be used in cat litter boxes to eliminate odors. Just a couple of shakes into to the litter box are all that is needed. Also helps to reduce the pungent odors in bird cages, ferret, and rabbit cages.
8. What if I would like treat my whole yard with SpotGone!, what are my options?
SpotGone! is packaged as a spot treater. For whole yard applications, NatraTurf makes a product that is not as concentrated as SpotGone! HydroSave is formulated to reduce water and fertilizer applications and will soon be available online and at many retailers.
9. I have a professional lawn service take care of my yard can I still use SpotGone!?
SpotGone! will not affect anything that your professionl lawn service would apply to your yard. You do not need to make any special arrangements, just apply and enjoy your SpotGone! lawn!
